Ink Well Keeper ("the app") is built to keep your data yours. This policy explains what is collected, what isn't, and where your information goes.
Cards, decks, wishlists, photos you attach, and stats are stored on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, this data is also stored in your private iCloud database, which only you can access — we cannot read it. Deleting the app (and the app's iCloud data in iOS Settings) removes it entirely.
The camera is used only to recognize trading cards. Recognition happens on your device; scan images are not uploaded anywhere. Photos you deliberately attach to a card stay in your collection data.
The app uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand which features are used (for example, "a scan happened"). Signals are anonymized before they reach TelemetryDeck; no personal identifiers, no advertising IDs, no cross-app tracking.
When you use the Rules Assistant or AI Deck Builder, the text of your request is sent to OpenAI along with the card information needed to answer it. When the Deck Builder's card source is set to My Collection, that includes the names and counts of the eligible cards you own. Nothing else from your collection, and nothing that identifies you, is sent. Under its API terms, OpenAI doesn't use these requests to train its models. Don't include personal information in prompts.
If you turn on price alerts and allow notifications, the app registers with Ink Well Keeper's alert server so it can notify you. It sends a random installation ID created by the app (not linked to your identity), your device's push token and time zone, the cards and target prices you set, your alert settings, and your anonymous RevenueCat ID (to check whether Pro alerts are included). For Pro collection alerts (price movers and the weekly digest), it also sends the cards and quantities you own, so the server can tell which of your cards moved.
This is used only to send your alerts. It's deleted when you turn alerts off, and automatically once Apple reports the push token is no longer valid (for example, after you delete the app).
Ink Well Keeper Pro purchases are processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat, which handles subscription status using anonymous identifiers. We never see your payment details.
Card prices come from public market data; requests contain card identifiers, not personal data. "Buy" buttons are affiliate links to third-party marketplaces (e.g. TCGplayer, Cardmarket) with their own privacy policies; the app may earn a commission at no cost to you and receives no information about your purchases.
The app is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
