How to Organize Your Lorcana Cards

Every collector hits the moment where the shoebox stops working. The fix is a system: consistent physical storage plus a digital record of what lives where. Here's a setup that scales from one booster box to ten thousand cards.

Pick one sort order and stick to it

The community standard — and the order every checklist, binder page, and app already uses — is by set, then by collector number. Ink color and rarity sorts look nice but fall apart the moment you need to find a specific card. Set + number means any card has exactly one home.

Binder, box, or both?

• Binder (display): your set pages, foils, and Enchanteds. Use side-loading pages — cards can't slide out — in a zippered binder.
• Storage box (bulk): commons and uncommons beyond your playsets. Label dividers by set and number range.
• Toploaders or semi-rigids (the hits): anything you'd be upset to scratch. Sleeve first, then toploader.
• Deck boxes (in play): sleeved decks stay assembled — track which cards are "borrowed" from your collection so set counts stay honest.

Protect before you sort

Sleeve anything of value before the big sorting session, not after. Penny sleeves for bulk-with-potential, matte sleeves for decks, and keep the room's drinks on a different table. Store binders upright and out of sunlight — foils warp in heat and fade in light.
